Privacy Policy

Overview

MyLoci is designed as a private travel atlas. The app stores your saved countries, cities, wishlist places, planned places, lived places, notes, visit dates, profile settings, and app preferences locally on your device.

MyLoci does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs. MyLoci does not sell your data and does not track you across apps or websites.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app may store the following data locally on your device when you choose to provide it:

• Saved countries and cities
• Travel categories such as explored, wishlist, planned, visited, and lived
• Notes and visit dates
• App settings, map settings, color preferences, and language preferences
• Profile name and optional profile photo

Location

MyLoci uses location only with your permission. Location may be used to center the map, add a place from your current location, or notify you when you may be in a new country or city.

If you enable new place alerts and allow Always location access, MyLoci may check significant location changes in the background and send a local notification suggesting that you add a new place. Background location monitoring is optional and can be disabled in the app settings or in iOS Settings.

Location data used for these features is processed by the app for app functionality. MyLoci does not send your location to the developer for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Notifications

MyLoci may send local notifications only after you grant notification permission. Notifications are used for optional app features such as new place alerts.

Photos

If you choose a profile photo, MyLoci may request access to your photo library. The selected image is used only for your profile inside the app. Saving a map image to Photos happens only when you choose to export or save it.

Third-Party Services

MyLoci uses Apple frameworks such as MapKit, Core Location, UserNotifications, PhotosUI, and SwiftData to provide app functionality. Data handled by Apple frameworks is subject to Apple's privacy practices. MyLoci does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Data Sharing

MyLoci does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. The developer does not receive your saved travel data from the app.

Deleting Data

You can delete saved places, notes, and profile information inside the app. You can also remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.

Children

MyLoci is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not provide advertising or tracking features.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated when MyLoci changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
